On Friday evening, AURA Zurich became the centre of the Swiss automotive world: around 250 guests gathered for the festive presentation of the AutoScout24 and MotoScout24 Awards. The event, THE NIGHT, celebrated garage owners who have distinguished themselves through outstanding achievements over the past year.
Following last year’s successful premiere and the wealth of positive feedback it received, AutoScout24 once again invited guests to Zurich for the second edition of THE NIGHT. The award ceremony recognises dealers who set new benchmarks through exceptional dedication and entrepreneurial strength. The accolade is regarded as a respected seal of quality within the industry. It honours top performances across several categories, reinforcing the commitment to excellence and competitiveness within Switzerland’s automotive sector. The evening was hosted by Melanie Winiger, well-known as a presenter, actress and model.
Evaluation Based on Clear Criteria
The selection of the Garage Owners of the Year was based on predefined performance data. Evaluation was carried out using measurable indicators relating to performance, customer satisfaction and advert quality. These included sub-criteria such as the ratio of contact requests to advert views, the share of adverts including a warranty, average listing duration, image quality on the AutoScout24 platform, and Google ratings. The winners were ultimately honoured in the categories Elite, Master, Compact, and Two Wheels, each further divided into Independent Dealers and Brand Representatives. Matthias Bischof, Director Business Customers at AutoScout24, SMG Swiss Marketplace Group, emphasised during the ceremony: “Our winners demonstrate impressively that passion, quality and innovative spirit can lead to lasting success – even in a dynamic market environment.”
Awards for Outstanding Achievements
The winners received not only gold, silver and bronze trophies, but also advertising packages on AutoScout24 worth a total of CHF 110,000. Roberto Estevez, Head of new and used car sales at RRG Switzerland AG in Glattbrugg, won in the category Elite / Brand Representation. He expressed his pride in receiving the award: „This award is a great recognition for us. Our customers are always at the centre of what we do. We are delighted that this philosophy has been acknowledged with an award – it motivates us to keep giving our very best every day.” In the category Two Wheels / Independent Dealers, the award went to Rainer Jetschke, Owner / Managing Director of ZIRKON AG Motorsports in Hünenberg. He said: “This award is a fantastic recognition for our team. The motorcycle segment requires passion and perseverance – it’s all the more rewarding when that dedication is recognised beyond the workshop.”
An Evening Full of Inspiration
The award ceremony once again offered ample space for recognition, inspiration and personal encounters. The emotional highlight of the evening was the keynote by Andreas Koch, widely known as “Die Pfeife” (“The Whistle”). A single decision made the former ice hockey referee famous across Switzerland and led to him living under personal protection. Speaking candidly and with humour, he discussed responsibility, pressure and how to stay calm even in critical situations. The festive evening was rounded off with international show acts and an exclusive dinner experience. Alberto Sanz de Lama, Managing Director of AutoScout24 at SMG Swiss Marketplace Group, summed up:: “The strong participation and positive feedback show that this award provides a platform that makes ambition and excellent work visible. That’s exactly what we aim to continue fostering in the future.”
