Thomas Kirchesch appointed as Sales Director SMG Advertising

SMG Swiss Marketplace Group has appointed Thomas Kirchesch as Sales Director SMG Advertising effective 1 May 2026. In this role, he is responsible for direct client and agency business as well as the strategic development of the advertising sales organisation.

SMG Advertising, the central advertising sales unit of SMG Swiss Marketplace Group, is realigning its sales function ahead of the next phase of growth. With Thomas Kirchesch, an experienced sales and commercial expert, takes on the position of Sales Director SMG Advertising. In his new role, he will focus on expanding direct client business as well as further developing the existing portfolio.

Kirchesch brings extensive experience in building and leading sales organisations in the digital sector. Prior to his most recent independent activity, he worked on an interim basis for SMG in the General Marketplaces business unit, and previously held positions at Goldbach Group and TX Group. In these roles, he was responsible in particular for developing commercial strategies and monetising digital platforms.
